Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at the University of California, Riverside, where I specialize in Comparative Politics and International Relations. My previous research has focused on international migration, citizenship, the ethics of immigration, and forced migration. My current research interests include transnational political engagement, diasporas, and authoritarianism.

I study how authoritarian regimes extend control beyond their borders by managing their diasporas through both repression and outreach. My dissertation develops a framework of Exit-Voice, Exit-Loyalty, and Exit-Silence to explain emigrant political behavior, drawing on surveys and multi-sited ethnographic fieldwork in Europe, the US, and the UK. It is supported by funding and professional development from the Princeton Dissertation Scholars Program, through the Mamdouha S. Bobst Center for Peace and Justice, and the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC), among others.
